– IS IT UP WE GO? –
St. Pölten was one of the three candidates for the European Capital of Culture 2024.
In the final phase of the cities candidature, the cultural inititative Kulturhauptstart invited me to do an installation in the yard in front of its clubhouse.
Made of abandoned tents collected, together with Exit Green at the Frequency Festival St. Pölten, this summer, this edition of FLAGS OF UTOPIA is essentially an upcycling project.
Unfortunately St. Pölten didn’t get selected as European Capital of Cuture 2024 but hopefully, the FLAGS OF UTOPIA stimulated further thought-playing … who knows what can be possible in this city at last?
