IN THE BEGINNING WAS THE THING
In the beginning was THE THING is a picture book for adults that is anchored in the concept of radical construcivism: reality is in the eye of the beholder. The modern fable takes place at a zoo. Within seven days after the THING appears in the sky, the animals in five enclosures develop differing ideologies on how to deal with the perceived threat.
This book, which I wrote and illustrated, is my diploma project and luckily got awarded as one of the most beautiful books in Austria in 2017.
