The three works presented were inspired by the ongoing, often unglamorous “to-do” list for 1zwei3 – our collectively run independent exhibition space in Vienna. 

These are things that never quite feel urgent enough to complete before the next opening, constantly postponed in the face of other artistic and administrative commitments. And so, we used this invitation as an opportunity to realize them. Each of these works later became part of our space’s everyday infrastructure: guests who wish to sit on the lawn in summer can make themselves comfortable on Picnic Blanket (Theresa Hattinger) and quite literally engage with the 20m² floor plan of the space. With Shelf under our Sink (Magdalena Kreinecker), we finally brought some order to the chaos beneath the washbasin—one of the few available storage spots in our two-storey exhibition space. And with Mirror (Amelie Bachfischer), we’ve at last found a most charming solution for a long-overlooked detail.
